SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA

ADDENDUM

 

About the agenda:

 

The agenda is divided into two sections:  CONSENT CALENDAR: These are routine items and are usually acted upon at one time without discussion. REGULAR CALENDAR: These items include significant financial, policy, and administrative actions, as well as scheduled public hearings. 

 

To address the Board:

 

Please fill out a speaker request form and provide it to the Clerk before the meeting begins.  Speaker request forms are available at the back of the Board Chambers.  Each speaker is allocated up to three minutes of speaking time unless the chairman determines that all speakers will be allowed a shorter or longer period of time. 

 

Comments should be limited to items on the agenda.

 

Persons wishing to address the Board are requested to fill out a speaker request form and provide it to the Clerk before the meeting begins. 

 

The Board provides the following opportunities for public comment:

  • Opportunity for comments on Consent Calendar items prior to approval of the Consent Calendar.
  • Opportunity for comments on any Regular Calendar item before or during the Board’s consideration of that item.

 

Participating in the meeting:

 

Your interest is encouraged and appreciated.  The Board wishes to ensure that business is conducted in an orderly fashion and that all have an equal opportunity to observe and participate in the proceedings. Each person who addresses the Board of Supervisors shall not use loud, threatening, profane, or abusive language which disrupts, disturbs, or otherwise impedes the orderly conduct of the Board meeting. Disorderly conduct which disrupts the orderly conduct of the Board meeting is prohibited.

 

 

REGULAR CALENDAR

Members of the public may comment on any item on the Regular Calendar before or during the Board's consideration of the item. Members of the public may also address matters scheduled for public hearings at the time such public hearings are opened for comment.  Those wishing to participate in public comment for Regular Calendar items must submit a speaker request card to the Clerk of the Board before public comment on the item begins. Each speaker is allocated three minutes to speak unless the Chair determines that all speakers will be allowed a shorter or longer period of time.  All speaker request cards submitted after public comment for each Regular Calendar item begins will not be heard by the Board.

LEVINE ACT NOTICE: DISCLOSURES REQUIRED ON SPECIFIED ITEMS (GOVERNMENT CODE § 84308) The Levine Act states that parties to any proceeding involving a license, permit or other entitlement for use pending before the Board must disclose on the record of the proceeding any campaign contributions of more than $250 (aggregated) made by the parties or their agents to Board Members within the preceding 12 months. Participants with financial interests, and agents of either parties or participants, are requested to disclose such contributions also. The disclosure must include the name of the party or participant and any other person making the contribution; the name of the recipient; the amount of the contribution; and the date the contribution was made. This disclosure can be made orally during the proceeding or in writing on a request to speak.

 

FIND MEETING INFORMATION ONLINE: The Board of Supervisors meetings are viewable via livestream and archived recording on Shasta County's website at https://www.shastacounty.gov/clerk-board/page/meeting-videos.  Although the County strives to make meetings viewable via livestream, please be advised that remote viewing is provided for convenience only.  In the event of a technological malfunction, the only assurance of viewing the meeting is to attend in person.  Except for a noticed teleconference meeting, the Board reserves the right to conduct the meeting without livestream access, if there is a technological malfunction.
